Privacy policy
Your privacy matters to us.
The Ealing Parent & Carer Forum (EPCF) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and the choices you have.
Who we are
EPCF is a forum of parents and carers of children and young people aged 0–25 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) living in the London Borough of Ealing. We are the data controller for the information you give us. You can contact us at info@epcf.org.uk.
What information we collect
- Your name and contact details, including email address, postal address and phone number.
- Your preferred method of contact.
- Information you choose to share about your family, such as the age of the person you care for and their primary additional need.
- The topics and activities you tell us you are interested in.
- Any comments or correspondence you send to us.
How we use your information
- To send you news, events, activities and consultation opportunities you have asked to hear about.
- To respond to your questions and to offer support and signposting.
- To understand the needs of families in Ealing so that we can represent those needs to the local authority, health services and other service providers.
- To report anonymously and in aggregate on the experiences of families in the borough.
Sharing your information
We only ever share anonymous, aggregated data with service providers, commissioners and partner organisations. We will never sell your data, and we will never share your personal information with anyone else without your permission, unless we are required to do so by law or where there is a safeguarding concern.
How long we keep it
We keep your details only for as long as you want to hear from us, or for as long as we need them to meet our legal and reporting obligations. You can ask us to remove you from our mailing list at any time.
Keeping your information safe
We store personal data securely and limit access to those members of the forum who need it in order to carry out the work described above.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@epcf.org.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
